Italian Figari filmfest to host ‘Funfair’

Iranian acclaimed short film ‘Funfair’ has been picked for screening at the Figari Film Fest in Italy. 

Directed by Kaveh Mazaheri, the flick is scheduled to be among the 11 short works to compete at the tenth edition of the Italian film event.

The 15-minute flick narrates the story of a young married couple and their 5-year-old kid. Majid, the father of the family, is a financially struggling man. He comes up with a ploy in order to better the life of his wife, Sara.

The fact that he will be able to improve the situation or not and Sara will be patient enough or not is a matter of wondering.

Sonia Sanjari, Soroush Saeedi and Artin Rabiee are the cast members of the flick.

‘Funfair’ has been screened at various global events and succeeded to take home a number of awards.

Established in 2011, the Figari Film Fest is an international short film event festival and market dedicated to young and independent cinema, short films, and young directors’ debuts.

This year’s edition of the fest, which presents about 50 under-20-minute films in several sections annually, is to be held on September 13-16.
